Sensor Checkers
SC-100 Accelerometer Checker
Features:
More Information:Spectrum Instruments Model SC-100 is a battery operated, easy to use instrument that allows an operator to check vibration sensor condition by measuring the sensor’s bias voltage. Also, it can provide fixed frequency and amplitude signal to simulate the operation of an IEPE type accelerometer. Power is supplied by one 9V internally mounted alkaline battery. An LED on the front of the instrument is activated when the battery starts to get low. The instrument’s working mode (BOV Test/Off/Signal Generator) can be selected by a slide switch mounted on the left side of the instrument. The mode selected is confirmed by an LED on the front panel. When connected to an accelerometer (in situ or on the bench) in the BOV TEST mode, the user can read the measured bias voltage on the screen as well as check the sensor status LED’s (Short Circuit/Sensor OK/Open circuit) on the instrument’s front panel. In the SIGNAL GENERATOR mode, the instrument produces a fixed frequency sinusoidal signal to simulate a sensor's signal. The user can now confirm the integrity of his sensor wiring back to the control room, as well as validate the operation of the user's vibration monitor.

PC-100 Proximity Probe Checker
Features:
More Information:The Model PC-100 is a battery powered, easy-to-operate instrument that is used to check the GAP of proximity probes. The integral front-of-panel LED bar graph replicates the relative gap position as adjustments to the probe position are being made. The GAP voltage is displayed on the LCD screen for improved accuracy. The PC-100 can also be used to simulate any current sensor – the fixed current output setting makes it an ideal instrument for a quick check of any process control loop. Power is supplied from one 9V alkaline internally mounted battery. LED indication of a low battery condition is also provided. Function Mode is selectable via a slide switch mounted on the left side of the instrument. There is also a visual identification of the selected mode on the front panel. When the slide switch is in the middle position, the device is turned off. In the GAP TEST mode, the PC-100 measures the GAP voltage on a proximity probe. The measured voltage is displayed on the LCD screen and on LED diodes which indicate the relative position of the proximity probe. The PC-100 simplifies the installation and set-up of any proximity probe - as the probe GAP is adjusted, the LED bar graph provides instantaneous feedback until the optimum GAP (“OK”) is reached. In the CURRENT SOURCE mode, the instrument produces a fixed current of 12mA (i.e. 50% of traditional 4-20ma instrument signal). The integrated current loop regulator is designed to work with 24V DC loop powered circuits. In this mode, the PC-100 provides a quick means of checking the integrity of most 4-20ma process control loops. 80mm 150 mm S
