New Avenues of Sharing!

Hello All-

I am sure you are wondering where I have been and what happened to the UB Precise e-newsletters. I have been trying to find a way to more efficiently and effectively bring you the UB Precise Tips. That search has brought me to the world of blogging. The benefit of this medium is now you can subscribe to the RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feed and you will automatically be updated every time a new post is made. This also will give you an easy way to give feedback and help shape the future of the information we pass along. Another way that I have begun sharing information is with a social media network called Twitter. Twitter is made up of short 140 character posts that can even be sent to your cell phone as a text message. Even if your company doesn't allow access to Twitter it is worth checking out from home. You can even set yourself up to receive "tweets" from your favorite sports team like I did. Plus you can get information that matters to you and not have to constantly be faced with the "doom and gloom" splattered all over the TV.

This UB Precise Tip is from the the world of infrared cameras. For many years I recommended using a temperature gun to insure that repairs were made properly. That was before the introduction of the FLIR/Extech i5. During this time of cut back and slashed budgets, one thing a maintenance organization needs to insure is that they are making the proper repairs the 1st time. The i5 is incredibly affordable and much more accurate than a temp gun. Here is a picture of a comparison that I did with an infrared temperature gun and an infrared camera. It is very eye opening to say the least. Shooting the same connection from the same distance equated to almost a 20 degree difference.
The other benefit that the infrared camera can give you is the ability to quickly scan over the rest of the panel and see if there is anything else that needs to be addressed. Please contact us to find out more about the i5 infrared camera and why it should be a part of your toolbox.

Lastly we want to wish everyone a grace filled Holy Week and an outstanding Easter Holiday celebrating family and the Resurrection of Jesus Christ!

Until next time- Stay Safe and Prosper!
Godspeed!
OJ
